Parent Conference-September 26 and 27

Posted in News & Announcements

Parent-teacher conferences are a great time to discuss your child's progress in school and goals. We want every student to have the opportunity to celebrate their work. Please look for a time for your student's conference from their teacher. If this time doesn't not work for you, please let them know and they will adjust the time for your convenience.

If you would like to help the school PTA, have some fun meeting other parents, and serve the students, this opportunity for the Book Fair may be just the thing. Contact Misty McKenna if you have questions.Screen Shot 2018-09-14 at 7.36.00 AM.png

Back to School Night and Kindergarten News

Posted in News & Announcements

Thank you to all who came to Back to School. We love the sounds of parents and children in the school.
We were happy to announce to the kindergarten parents tonight that we were approved by the District for another kindergarten teacher last night. We begin interviewing tomorrow and hope to have a quality teacher hired very soon. The morning only students will move across the hall in the kindergarten area, where they are already doing group building activities to prepare them for transition. Our marvelous counselor and psychologist have also been supporting friendshipping and inclusion.
As our kindergarten team works closely together, have common expectations and procedures, curriculum, etc., the new teacher will quickly become part of our community. Full day students will remain with their current teacher. We will continue to maintain our waitlist for both classes of full-day kindergarten. Because of our grant, the two full-day classes must be capped at 24 students each.
We appreciate the patience and the trust of our parents. We are moving as quickly as possible to hire a highly qualified teacher. In the meantime, we have many adults supporting and caring for our littlest junior huskies. As always we value your feedback and input. Feel free to call Mrs. Baker with any input or questions.
