- DLI Check-In: Margaret reviewed the outcome of last board meeting. Canyons has updated the DLI website with current information. To learn more–go to: https://www.canyonsdistrict.org/dual-language-immersion/. Midvalley will communicate with our Kindergarten families to ensure they are aware when the application window opens.
- Enrollment Update: Midvalley’s student enrollment qualified for another teacher. The district allocated an additional FTE to Midvalley after the 11th day count. Based on class sizes across the school, the teacher will be a kindergarten teacher. Margaret shared the hiring and communication plan.
- Positive Behavior Plan: Margaret reviewed our Positive Behavior Plan. Daniel shared important updates on our Bike Bus plan. There was a discussion on routes and communication plan. Daniel plans to lead the Bike Bus once per month. Thank you!
- Organize school council
- Elect chair and vice chair: Danielle will be chair and Donald will be vice chair
- Review rules of order and procedure and post on website
- Set meeting schedule for the year and post on website: Margaret will send out dates for Mondays at 3:45pm. Once we all agree on the dates–they will be posted on website.
- Post roster on website with, at least, one form of contact for each member
- Review requirements for SCC open meeting requirements
- Review bylaws or write bylaws if you don’t currently have; post current copy on website
- Review school data that may have come in at end-of-year or over summer, previous year’s plans and current year’s plans

- Margaret also reviewed Title budget (amount we get to spend on Midvalley) which is $170,000.
