Call for Volunteers! At last!

Dear Midvalley Families,

This year, our incredible volunteers have been incredibly patient as we’ve had to limit visitors to our campus in support of health and safety protocols. But with vaccination rates picking up, and the expanding availability of rapid COVID testing, we are now able to safely welcome parents, grandparents, and other helpers back into our classrooms — and it couldn’t happen at a more opportune time.

As we look to finish the year strong, and make the most out of the last few months of instructional time, our teachers could use the extra hands and our students could use the extra encouragement. There are health precautions we need to follow to safeguard our volunteers, students, and employees. But, starting April 12, we invite our families and patrons to submit a volunteer application at:
https://foundation.canyonsdistrict.org/volunteer/.

When you arrive at the school, you’ll be asked a few questions about your health. You’ll then be asked to show proof of having received the COVID-19 vaccine, or proof of a negative COVID-19 test. As a courtesy, our school can furnish you with a voucher for free, rapid testing at the Canyons District Office (see details below).

Canyons District Office (9361 S. 300 East in Sandy)
Simply register at this link and line up inside your vehicle outside the north entrance of the District Office parking garage at any of the following times and days:
Monday, 6:30 – 8:30 a.m.
Wednesday, 3 – 5 p.m.
Friday, 8 – 10 a.m.

Teachers at the school will determine how and when they will use volunteers, so if you are interested, please reach out to your child’s teacher for more information. Volunteering will begin after Spring Recess. And of course, volunteers, like everyone in schools, will be required to wear a mask. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Warmest regards,

Tamra Baker, Principal
