School Open House

We are very excited to announce that your family is invited to an Open House to tour the new school with your student the afternoon of May 27th. Due the lifting of some of the health and safety protocols when school ends, we are able to offer the families the opportunity to finally tour the new school. We are still under restrictions for capacity, masking, and distancing, so to do this with safety in mind, we ask the following:

  • May 27 is the last day of school and is an early out day. School will end for students at 12:25 pm. We ask that all student go home on time that day so we can prepare for the Open House.
  • The school is invited by the first letter of your last name for these times on May 27th after school is dismissed:
    • 1:30-2:00 pm A-G
    • 2:00-2:30 pm H-R
    • 2:30-3:00 pm S-Z
  • Please park on the east side of the school in the overflow/event parking. There will be limited parking on the west side, as the staff will still be working. Walking is encouraged, where possible. We will hope for a sunny, brilliant day!
  • The tour will be self- guided. A map will be provided at the front door where you will enter. You will exit out the back door of the school. You will be able to see your child’s classrooms, the gym, cafeteria, media center/art room, etc. Your child should be able to guide you through the school. Areas where cleaning has already begun will be marked on the map, and we ask that you do not go into these areas as they are classrooms that are being prepped for the Summer Boost program or are off limit to students.
  • PTA will be providing volunteers to help us, as staff will be busy closing up their classrooms and the school year as this is the last day of teacher contract.
  • Masks will be required and we ask that family groups stay within the time limits so that we maintain our capacity limits for the building under health and safety guidelines.
  • We may have to ask families to wait to enter the front doors if we exceed capacity at 25%, if we have arrivals outside of the times assigned.
  • Please try to keep your self-paced tour under 15 minutes in the building. If you would like to visit with other families, please do so outside on the playground after touring the school as this does not impact our capacity inside the building.

There will many more opportunities next year for events to be inside this wonderful school, but you’ve been so patient, we wanted to give you the chance to come inside as soon as it was possible. What an epic year, and it will be wonderful to celebrate the end of it with you.

We know this time of day may not work for all, but if it does, we hope to see you, and for you to see the beautiful building the community has funded for generations to come. It is spectacular and worthy of it children.
