This week we are reaching out to make new friends. You can never have too many friends. Manners help us have a happy climate at school. Our brothers and sisters (and sometimes cousins) are our first friends. Kindness matters. Happy Valentine's Day from all the children and staff at Midvalley Elementary!
Our fifth grade students were hosted at their boundary middle schools today. Tonight, parents are invited to visit Union and MIdvale Middle Schools for a Parent Night at 7:00 pm. Their staffs are ready to answer any questions you have about sixth grade. The students had a wonderful time. Midvalley students represented with respect as guests. You can find out more about both schools on their websites. https://midvalemiddle.canyonsdistrict.org http://www.canyonsdistrict.org/union-middle
This week our students will be learning about ways to use technology responsibly and safely. It is a great time to visit with your children about your family standards and expectations about technology use. While technology and electronics can be a great learning tool and recreation, too much technology can be detrimental to a child's development. Balance is important. We will be posting ideas on our FaceBook page all week. Follow along and join the dialogue.
You have a fifth grade student who is starting to ask "the questions"? Maturation is coming this spring. Please pick a date and place that works best for your family. All presentations start at 7:00 pm.
