It is time for kindergarten registration. Please contact the office to register now. If you have a neighbor with a kindergarten aged student, please share. We want every kindergartener and kinder parent to receive an invitation to our special Kindergarten Orientation in March. We have a marvelous kindergarten team who loves and nurtures children. We look forward to having your child here with us next year.
The students have filled up the Principal's Board again, and we are celebrating next Thursday. We have guest readers coming for the kindergarten. The fifth grade will be reading to the first graders and everyone is going to have a reading activity at the end of the day. Dr Seuss cartoons will be shown during lunch. (Gentle reminder: Thursday, March 1 is early out for parent teacher conferences and there is no school on March 2). It's a good week to dust off the nightly reading, if it's been awhile. Reading helps our brains grow stronger. Flyers were sent home with every student. We are so proud of our students who know how to Practice safety, Accept responsibility, Work towards mastery, Show respect (PAWS). Midvalley is a wonderful place to learn and grow.
This week we are reaching out to make new friends. You can never have too many friends. Manners help us have a happy climate at school. Our brothers and sisters (and sometimes cousins) are our first friends. Kindness matters. Happy Valentine's Day from all the children and staff at Midvalley Elementary!
