- Review current year’s LAND Trust plan, data and expenditures and review if on course or if amendments are necessary.
- SCC reviewed plans, data, and expenditures — we are on track with our plan. Margaret will report out on winter acadience data in February. Progress monitoring continues to show growth.
- Begin writing TSSP and LAND Trust plans for next school year.
- TSSP will be worked on by school and goals/direction shared with SCC for input.
- SCC will write and develop LAND Trust plan to address one or more goals from TSSP.
- SCC would like to see us continue to spend funds based on what teachers want and need (aides, field trips, supplies, etc)
- Discussion about what else we can do to support teachers
- It was expressed that teachers need at least one day per month to plan–could we have our school calendar end in June?
- Discussion about how PTA supports our teachers
- Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) Plan
- Midvalley is on TSI for MLs, Hispanic, and SPED
- Margaret shared Midvalley’s TSI plan which includes professional development, goals, and work teachers are doing in PLCs
- Finalize Child Access Routing Plan (SNAP)
- Midvalley SCC went through our SNAP plan on data dashboard.
- Stakeholder Survey Results
- Margaret shared our stakeholder results including stakeholder comments. We had 15 parents complete the survey.
- Inside Recess Protocol
- Margaret reviewed our inside recess protocol. We keep kids inside when it is 23 degrees, feels below 23 degree, or it is too wet/snowy outside. During grade level recess, teachers facilitate movement activities, games, art, etc. During lunch recess, the students spend 15 minutes in the lunchroom and then 15 minutes watching a “G” rated movie.
- Safety drill report and budgets
- November Drill – Bomb Threat
- December Drill – Hold
- Both drills went well. SCC suggested that when drills are done, it is included in our weekly Jr. Husky Happenings. We discussed making sure teachers include drill protocol in sub plans and all of the great things Canyons has done with our safety protocols.
