  • Begin writing TSSP and LAND Trust plans for next school year
    • TSSP will be worked on by school and goals/direction shared with SCC for input
    • SCC will write and develop LAND Trust plan to address one or more academic goals from TSSP
    • SCC recommend that we take a comprehensive look for our school goals.  They would like to see acadience and RISE goals.
    • SCC recommends that we work with teachers on how we want funds spent to achieve our goals.  Discussion on what we spent the money on this year which included – supplies, curriculum, aides, field trips, assemblies, school store, spirit gear, software, calming tools, BTS, science experiment materials, substitutes
  • Final report for previous year’s plan due to be submitted by principal to School Performance by end of January – Margaret will get that done and shared with SCC.
  • Community Stakeholder Survey
    • SCC read through our comments
    • Discussion on parking lot and the importance of communication
    • Mike wants to get an artist to paint the sidewalk so kids have fun things to look at while they wait for their families
    • Discussion about student progress and communication–is there way families could see acadience reports besides asking the teacher to send it to them?  Margaret will look into that and get back w/ SCC.
  • SNAP Plan Update – Rick Scheese – At your request, I moved the safe walk route line on 8000 South to East of the TRAX line. On 8000 South, there are only business West of the TRAX Line. The students in the complex West and South of the TRAX Line are already bused. There are not any students who would need to have the Safe Walk Route cross the TRAX Line on 8000 South.
    • SCC noticed that bus stops were not on the map.  Margaret will work to get a new one with the bus stops for our SNAP and website.
  • Woodhaven Estates
    • This building complex will bring in more students and impact our SNAP plan.  SCC will request sidewalks and continue to request a crossing guard for 300E.
  • Preschool – Registration Opens March 1st
    • Midvalley will have free preschool for our families and families here on permit.  Reach out to our office team if families have questions.  It is first-come, first-served.
  • Soccer Courts Update
    • The district is waiting for warmer weather to paint the courts.  We are still planning on getting them on our blacktop.
  • Food/treat Policy – Valentine’s Day Plan
    • We will continue to not have food in our classrooms during holiday parties.  Margaret will send out communication reminding families to not send their children to school with Valentine’s Day cards that have treats attached.  Should families have feedback–they can join a SCC meeting to further discuss why this is a safety issue.
  • Safety drill report and budgets
    • December and January Drill  – everything went well — our students are the BEST!  Mike asked if kids can bring coats on drills.  Yes–they can if they grab them as they line up.  We move fast to get outside during an evacuation.
    • Land Trust $79,932.61 – current:  $43,463.13
    • TSSP $108,457.95 – current:  $74,848.27
  • Input from the Community if present
