  • Bell Schedule

Bell Schedule 2023 – 2024
At our board meeting on April 11th, it was decided that our bell schedule would change for our upcoming school year.  Midvalley start and end times will be 15 minutes later which means we will move from starting 8:25 and dismissing at 3:00 to starting at 8:40 and dismissing at 3:15.  This change is requested due to the boundary change effective for the 2023-24 school year. The new school area will require the same busing requirements as it currently has at Copperview. The bus used for this route has an East Midvale run and cannot get to Midvalley until approximately 3:17 p.m.

Our morning supervision begins and cafeteria doors open at 8:20.  Jr. Huskies will continue to come in through the cafeteria doors from 8:20 – 8:35.  Jr. Huskies come in through the front doors from 8:35 on. Jr. Huskies are marked tardy after the 8:40 bell.

  • Title I Plan and Budget
School plans on using the Title I budget for additional personnel – aides, social worker

  • Family Engagement
Community recommends we continue to have events both in the mornings and evenings.  It is also important that we consider the space and sound to ensure everyone can hear the information.  Events that we plan to continue are:  Meet and Greet, Back to School Night, Technology Night, Literacy Night, and Moms Matter/All Pro Dads.

  • Spring Data
    • RISE and Acadience
Our data looked good–on both assessments, it was consistent and remained the same.  K – 3 ELA data indicates we need to continue to focus on phonics and phenomic awareness.  K – 5 ELA data was impacted by implementation challenges of new curriculum.   Our math RISE data went down a few percentage points on RISE.  Our science data went up by 1% on RISE.

SCC discussed the importance of attendance and supporting families ensuring students come to school.
