  • Bike Bus Update – the kids love it!  Margaret was asked if we could dismiss school early 5 minutes on bike bus days for bike riders.  She found out that there are a lot of concerns that override the positives.  One being the disruption to dismissal with certain kids leaving early–and it ended with lost instructional time.  It was suggested that the bike bus kids meet together and leave 5 minutes later to give the walkers a head start.
  • Parking Update – Safety First!  Admin will continue to work with adults to ensure everyone is making safe choices.
  • ML Report – MLs continue to be a priority at Midvalley.  Currently 23% of our students are MLs.
  • Input on Family Events (Hot Dog Hello, Daring Dads, Moms Matter, STEM, Reading, Art, and Math) – SCC loves our events.  It was discussed to add an additional 30 minutes to our Meet and Greet.  One hour is not enough time to meet with all teachers.  Due to few families visiting classrooms during Back to School Night, we will take that out of our agenda.  Families can talk with their teachers during the Hot Dog Hello.  There was a discussion about combining our Daring Dads and Moms Matter to all guardians are invited every month.  Ms. Crystal, who oversees the programs, will work on this idea with the social workers who oversee the content of the morning events.
  • Safety drill report and budgets – We chose to do a fire drill for our last drill.  It went well.  We still like Crisis Go!
